Custom Engraved 22mm Legend Plates
Our 22mm legend plates fit any standard 22mm pushbutton, selector switch, pilot light or indicator lamp, including operators from Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Eaton, ABB and IDEC. Choosing a Style
Every style fits the same 22mm mounting hole, so the choice comes down to the room you have on your panel, how much text you need, and the look you want.
Start with your hole spacing. The center-to-center distance between holes must be greater than the width of the plate for devices side by side, and greater than its height for devices stacked one above another. Traditional and Rectangular plates need more than 1-1/2" side to side and 1-7/8" top to bottom. The compact 800F needs more than 1-3/16" and 1-9/16" (1-31/32" top to bottom for the 3-line size). Round plates need more than 2-3/8" in both directions.
22mm Traditional legend plates are the classic shape, rounded at the top and narrowing around the mounting hole, 1-1/2" x 1-7/8" (38 x 48mm) with 0.125" text. 22mm Rectangular legend plates are the same size and fit with a squarer, more modern outline. Both come with up to three lines of text or a selector switch layout, and the "180" versions put the text below the hole instead of above it.
22mm 800F legend plates are a compact 30 x 40mm style sized to match Allen-Bradley 800F operators, with a choice of small (0.100") or large (0.140") text. 22mm Round legend plates are 2-3/8" (60mm) discs with text curved around the ring, and are the shape used for emergency stop buttons.
Plastic or Stainless Steel
Standard plastic comes in a wide range of colors and suits most control system, electrical and automation panels, indoors or out. Heavy-duty plastic adds a lightly textured, wear-resistant surface for harsh environments. Stainless steel legend plates are fiber laser engraved on 304 stainless with a #4 brushed finish for the toughest locations.
Emergency Stop Legend Plates
For e-stop buttons, our emergency stop legend plates come in the round 60mm style, with English, ISO symbol and bilingual versions.
How Much Text Will Fit?
There are no hard character limits. Each style is engraved at a set text height, and longer text is compressed horizontally to fit the plate, so you can type what you need and see the result.
