Custom Engraved 30mm Legend Plates
Our 30mm legend plates fit any standard 30mm pushbutton, selector switch, pilot light or indicator lamp, including heavy-duty oiltight operators from Allen-Bradley, Square D, Eaton and other manufacturers. Each plate is laser engraved with your text, so your control panel is clearly and permanently labeled. Pick a style, type your text and preview it online before you order.
Choosing a Style
Every style fits the same 30mm mounting hole, so the choice comes down to the room you have on your panel, how much text you need, and the look you want.
Start with your hole spacing. The center-to-center distance between holes must be greater than the width of the plate for devices side by side, and greater than its height for devices stacked one above another. The 800T needs more than 1.83" in both directions (2.00" top to bottom for the Jumbo). Traditional and Rectangular plates need more than 2.00" side to side and 2.20" top to bottom. Round plates need more than 2-3/8" in both directions.
30mm 800T legend plates are a compact 1.83" (45mm) square style, compatible with Allen-Bradley 800T and 800H operators and sized to match their legend plates, with 0.125" text. The 800T Jumbo is taller for a third line or a selector switch layout. 30mm Traditional legend plates are the classic shape, rounded at the top and narrowing around the mounting hole, 2.00" x 2.20" (51 x 56mm) with 0.144" text. 30mm Rectangular legend plates are the same size and fit with a squarer, more modern outline. Both come with up to three lines of text or a selector switch layout, and the Traditional "180" versions put the text below the hole. 30mm Round legend plates are 2-3/8" (60mm) discs with text curved around the ring.
Plastic or Stainless Steel
Standard plastic comes in a wide range of colors and suits most control system, electrical and automation panels, indoors or out. Heavy-duty plastic adds a lightly textured, wear-resistant surface for harsh environments. Stainless steel 30mm legend plates are fiber laser engraved on 0.048" thick 304 stainless with a #4 brushed finish, in the Traditional style.
Emergency Stop Legend Plates
For e-stop buttons, our 30mm emergency stop legend plates come in the round 60mm style, in English, French and Spanish. Our yellow English plate is a compatible replacement for the Allen-Bradley 800T-X646EM emergency stop legend plate.
How Much Text Will Fit?
There are no hard character limits. Each style is engraved at a set text height, and longer text is compressed horizontally to fit the plate, so you can type what you need and see the result.
