Choosing a Potentiometer Legend Plate

Start with the mounting hole size. 22mm plates fit 22mm potentiometer operators from any manufacturer, 30mm plates are for heavy-duty and oil-tight operators, and 3/8" plates fit smaller potentiometers that mount in a 3/8" hole.

0 to 10 or 0 to 100?

A 0 to 10 scale is the common choice for speed and setpoint control, where operators need a quick visual reference. A 0 to 100 scale suits percent-based settings like speed, flow or valve position, and its finer markings make it easier to return to an exact setting.

Add Your Own Title

Potentiometer plates can carry up to 16 characters of custom title text, so operators know exactly what each dial controls. Common examples include SPEED, FLOW, TEMP and LEVEL.
