We are tax exempt and the website is charging sales tax.
Send your tax exemption certificate to ar@carolina-laser.com. We will update your account. The tax certificate must be valid for the shipping address. For example, if you are shipping to PA you must have a PA exemption certificate.
Please send your certificate before checking out. It only takes us a few minutes to update your account.
Is there a minimum order?
No. There is no minimum order size and no minimum quantity, so order one plate or a thousand. Small orders are welcome.
What is your lead time?
Online orders ship the next business day. For custom or very large orders, an estimate will be provided with your quote, but is usually 1-2 weeks or better.
What material do you use?
Our plastic engraving stock comes from Rowmark, Gemini, IPI and Trolase. Top quality stuff. Plastic nameplates include 3M peel-and-stick adhesive; tags and metal products do not have adhesive. See Materials and Colors for specs and stock colors.
Are your nameplates UL listed?
Our heavy-duty plastic is a UL Recognized material (UL File E354751). Carolina Laser is not a UL-certified label manufacturer, so finished plates do not carry a UL mark. Material certifications are available on request.
Will the text be centered?
Yes, where appropriate. Selector legends right and left positions would be an example of an exception.
Will you ship using my UPS account number?
Optionally, yes. If you would like to use UPS collect shpping just let us know and we'll enable that checkout option.
Can you make any size legend plate?
Yes, plastic up to 24" x 24". Stainless steel, aluminum and brass engraving up to 8" x 8".
What type of drawing should I send?
We can use a variety of vector (CAD) file types (*.dwg, *.dxf, *.eps, and *.pdf). AutoCAD (*.dwg) is the preferred file type. More information is here: Drawing Legend Plates

Are your legends OK for outdoor use?
Yes.
Can I get legends in Spanish, French or any other language?
Yes. Simply provide the text in the language you would like. See Languages and Symbols.
Can I send you hand sketches or photos of what I want?
Yes and No. We strongly prefer drawing files of some sort. The legend plates are made directly from the files you send to avoid errors. In some cases we will accept a hand sketch but pricing and lead time will be adjusted accordingly.
